The American Consulate General is hosted chef Art Smith between April 21-28. هل سبق وسمعت بمجلس بلدي شبابي يعمل كظل للمجلس البلدي المنتخب؟ من ضمن برنامج ممول من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية التقى الملحق الإعلامي في القنصلية الأمريكية ليزلي أوردمان بمجموعة من القادة الفلسطينيين الشباب الذين تم انتخابهم للعمل مع وبالتوازي مع المجلس البلدي في مدنهم.

مؤسسة القدس للعناية باطفال التوحد عقدت سلسلة من ورش العمل في البيت الامريكي في الفترة ما بين 22-23 نيسان. قال خليل جرادات مدير المؤسسة: "كان الهدف من التدريب تعلم كيفية الوصول للاطفال وجعلهم اكثر دراية بتأثيرات التوحد على الاطفال وعائلاتهم والمجتمع ككل." 

The Jerusalem Autistic Child Care Organization held a training session at America House on April 22-23. The objective was “to reach out to youth and make them better aware of the effects that autism has on the child, their family and the community as a whole,” said Autistic Child Care director Khalil Jaradat.  http://jacco.org.ps

إحياء ليوم الكرة الأرضية زار القنصل الأمريكي العام مايكل راتني سلفيت وقام بزراعة شجرة بالاشتراك مع شباب من مدرسة مسقط. قال السيد راتني: " تعتبر القنصلية الأمريكية العامة في القدس صديقة وشريكة للجهود الفلسطينية النامية في الحفاظ على البيئة."
In observance of Earth Day, American Consul General Michael A. Ratney visited Salfeet and planted a tree with local youth at the Muscat School for Boys. "The American Consulate General in Jerusalem is a friend and a partner in the growing Palestinian environmental movement," said Mr.

The U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) seeks to advance the U.S. Government’s commitment to supporting the women of the Middle East and North Africa to achieve their enormous potential, specifically by strengthening women’s political participation and supporting advocacy for legislative or regulatory reforms that reduce economic barriers for women.
Through this announcement, we seek to support projects in the West Bank and Gaza, Applicants may submit only one application to this announcement. The application must address one priority area and can propose to work in one or more of the eligible countries. To view the full announcement, please click here.

المعرض الفني بعنوان نوستالجيا عندما يعانق اللون الذاكرة. وقد عرضت في المعرض اللوحات الفنية الخاصة بالفنانة لينا القادري من نابلس. هل تعتقد ان هذه النشاطات تساهم في خلق تفاهم اكبر بين الثق...افات المختلفة و الخلفيات المتعددة؟

Last Thursday, the U.S. Consulate hosted the opening of an art exhibition entitled “Nostalgia: When Color Embraces Memory” that featured the paintings of Nablus-based artist, Ms. Lina Qadri. Do you think such activities contribute towards more understating between different cultures and diverse backgrounds

في جامعة البوليتكنك في الخليل، استضافت القنصلية الامريكية متحدث امريكي الدكتور يوجين ستويرل من خلال تقنية الفيديو كونفرنس، وكان نقاشا مفيدا حول دور دافعي الضرائب. تحدث الدكتور ستويرل الى 35 خبير ضرائبي فلسطيني من منطقة الخليل. ما هو المقدار... المناسب الذي يجب ان تسعى الحكومات الى وضعه من اجل ان يكون هناك عدل ما بين قيمة الضرائب المفروضة على المواطنين وبين الخدمات التي تقدمها الحكومات للمواطنين؟

At Hebron Polytechnic University, The U.S. Consulate hosted an American Speaker Dr. Eugene Steuerle via DVC for an enlightening discussion of “The Role of the Taxpayer.” Dr. Steuerle spoke with 35 Palestinian tax experts from Hebron . What is the balance do you think that government should seek to strike between the taxes imposed on citizens and the services it offers to citizens
